Having considered all the important issues of Amenities,Egress/Access, Fire Prevention, Emergency procedures etc: We tend to skim over the most important consideration that being of Electrical Safety… Here below is an Electrical safety checklist to help with Public Safety and Public Liability Compliance. This list is pretty generic please check with the Venue manager about Specific requirements:
❑ Residual circuit devices (RCDs) are used where required,including all hand held electrical appliances and tools
❑ All portable electrical equipment including leads are tested(6 or 12 months in accordance with AS/NZS 3000:2000Electrical Installations, known as the Wiring Rules, and AS3533 – Amusement Rides and Devices). Tagging is alsorecommended
❑ Adequate protection of the public from electric shock andany trip hazards from cords are minimised
❑ All leads, plugs, etc. are protected from weather and other environmental conditions (e.g. water)
